We all live surrounded by patterns, motifs, lines and shapes wherever we are.
Many of my collages are inspired by maps and urban contours and are made with cards, fabrics, found objects, varnish, inks and oil pastels. The mixed media surfaces are highly textured and the changing light of day can make the collage look different from hour to hour.
Human figures start to appear in the pictures with the 'Legend' series - a set of three large rectangular collages (h:20" w:48") based on the patterns of events in life - personal and universal. The original three ‘Legend’ collages themselves are not for sale at this point but they are all now available as unframed fine art prints at two-thirds of the image size of the original.
