This time of year makes most of us a bit giddy, reflective too.
Last week I went to a friend’s party. She had a copy of my ‘Know Your Crazy’ book on her bookshelf (a book of my drawings and pictures expressing emotions and reactions that we all recognise).
A mix of women and men looked through it and each one felt that instant flash of understanding, laughed and nodded and, in short, loved it. It sparked some pretty interesting conversations including about how this time of year can make us feel – the great and the not so great!
I had forgotten how brilliant it is to witness people seeing this book for the first time and appreciate the way it resonates so readily and so universally. It was a great privilege to be reminded of its continued connective power.
The same week someone suggested to me that I exhibit these pieces – so that’s something to think about for 2025.
It has turned out to be a busy art year and I really wanted to thank everyone who visited my new website, signed up for a newsletter, bought artwork or left comments for me. I really appreciate it.
